Get it out of me!!!

If like me you thought "I wish that MED POD was real, what if i have a squid baby?? How will i get it out?" while you were watching Prometheus, fear no more! Because if by chance you are impregnated with a squid baby, one day soon DARPA's "Trauma Pod" May come to your rescue.
We may be a long ways away from the super sleek, high tech MED POD that got Shaw out of her messy (And very painful by the looks of it) Situation. But SRI has been working on a prototype for a surgical robot that would be able to care and treat  soldiers wounded on the battlefield. The idea being that the instant a soldier is hurt they can begin treatment while being transported elsewhere. So far the pod has done tests on dummies and the like and can already ASSIST surgery on its own (With the help of at least one surgeon), Though one day it is hoped that one of these Trauma Pods will be able to handle any surgical situation by itself  Pretty neat huh? Below are a few pics of it in action and

Be sure to check out http://www.sri.com/work/projects/trauma-pod For more info on this awesome project!

BTTF in GTA?!

OK, this is the kind of stuff we need to see more in video gaming.  References to real life movies.  Not only reference them, but turn it into a playable experience.  Back to the Future was an awesome trilogy of movies and i have never seen anything like this incorporated into any video game....ever.  See that video game developers, make something unique and awesome, people will buy it!

Now Metal Gear can be yours...For a price.

For all those who love the MGS series, a devout gamer or simply love yelling "SNAAAAAAKE!" at random its time to get that debit/credit card out. ThreeA Toys has developed a 42CM tall Metal Gear Rex model Kit, And now for only $490 you can start building an army of Metal Gears for yourself. The model was put out for sale earlier this year causing quite the buzz in the gaming community. Rex comes in a stylish camo paint job and a light up rail gun, who could resist? So start saving or just skip your next rent payment. Rex is something anyone would want for their office cubicle. Below are a few more pics to water your mouth. And don't forge to check out ThreeA Toys Facebook Page for more awesome collectibles.

And now below you can see the prototype for what must be a massive Metal Gear Ray (my personal Favorite) So we can now act out LIVE  the EPIC battle between both REX and RAY that we witnessed in MGS4. Nerdgasm. It looks amazing now, just wait till it gets painted!

I Think its a safe bet you will have to shell out just as much for RAY as you will for REX, and will there be an ARSENAL GEAR in the future? I'm excited to find out.

Dishonored Play Style Comparison Videos with Director Commentary

In the history of video games with story lines, many games required you to follow a predetermined story line in a very specific sequence of events all set in place by the developer. Invisible walls boxed the player in to a confined space where his interactions with the environment, objects and NPC's were very limited. Story progression only occurred when the player took the 'correct' action. The developers of a few games of recent have set out to change this fixed-story line paradigm. It sounds as though Bethesda has attempted to do this as well as provide a very dynamic combat system to allow players to truly take control of the story in the upcoming title, Dishonored.

Check out the play style comparison videos after the jump.

In the videos below, the Co-Creative Directors Raphael Colantonio and Harvey Smith will talk us through two very different play styles and show us only a few of the many abilities you will be able to leverage in the game. The first video demonstrates a stealth play through where as little lethal force as possible is used to complete the mission. The second video shows us a play through of the same level using a brute force approach with a bit more footage detailing the combat system.

Dishonored launches on 10/9/12. For more videos, stills and info visit Bethesda's Dishonored site.

ZombiU: Wii U Gameplay

ZombiU is fun, fast, addictive game of Zombie survival. You have no lives, no check points, the goal of the game is to survive a Zombie outbreak in London as every other Zombie game shooting them full of bullets wont kill them making sure their heads come off that body or the brains blown out will. After playing the game for a few I found it annoying to have to look at the Wii U's touch pad and back at the screen however it adds to the intense feeling and makes you panic knowing a Zombie is around the corner coming for you. One interesting thing about the games is when you die you are dead leaving you to start over in the safe house losing all your loot you collected, however if you wonder back to where you died you can see a zombie version of your old self and kill him to reclaim your supplies.  We still have yet to hear about a release date for this game but ill probably end up picking it up when it comes out.

Procreate: iOS

Procreate is a fun and simple to use app for drawing. Within minutes I was able to draw and crate things I couldn't normally do on paper. Procreate has a very simple UI  with layer support. It also features the ability to creat your own brushes.  Procreate is the most responsive of the drawing applications I've run into, it's quick and does not lag. Your brush size and Opacity are always available on the screen. That comes in handy, on other apps you have to switch to a different view before returning to your work.
Procreate runs $4.99 for the iPad.

Took me 5 min to draw this!

Crackle: Airplay Support!

Crackle gets an update today for Airplay out! Along with a completely redesigned interface.

Coma Conspiracy

Walking the streets of San Diego I ran into some Doctors that told me not to be listening  to the crazy patients. They slapped this band on my wrist and walked away....
