We may be a long ways away from the super sleek, high tech MED POD that got Shaw out of her messy (And very painful by the looks of it) Situation. But SRI has been working on a prototype for a surgical robot that would be able to care and treat soldiers wounded on the battlefield. The idea being that the instant a soldier is hurt they can begin treatment while being transported elsewhere. So far the pod has done tests on dummies and the like and can already ASSIST surgery on its own (With the help of at least one surgeon), Though one day it is hoped that one of these Trauma Pods will be able to handle any surgical situation by itself Pretty neat huh?
